EDPA NE’s 2018 Rally at the Alley Raises $16,500
More than 100 tradeshow professionals from across the industry gathered at the annual bowling event to raise capital and generate awareness for the greater good. Rally at the Alley is an annual charity drive that gives back to an individual in the industry affected by illness or loss. 2018’s honoree was Kim Hally, wife of BlueHive Executive Vice President Jack Hally.

The EDPA Northeast chapter, voted 2016 Chapter of the year, will be hosting its annual cocktail kickoff meeting at EXHIBITORLIVE 2017. The event is being held to celebrate the success of 2016 and talk about what’s to come in 2017.
2016 was an amazing and prosperous year for the Northeast. In the spirit of benefaction, the chapter held two fundraising events that directly gave back to the industry. It resurrecting the famed Rally at the Alley bowling fundraiser that benefits an individual in need that has roots within the industry. The Rally, held in May at Splitsville in Foxboro, raised $5,000 for the family the late Rob Corrona, a long time freelance exhibit designer. In September, the first annual golf tournament called “The Classic” collected $5,000 that was donated to the EDPA Foundation for student scholarships.
The Chapter had a major focus on education throughout the year. This included hosting several events directly targeting students from BSU and FIT. It hosted the annual spring meeting at FIT for the second straight year which culminated in some chapter members hitting the batting cages on Chelsea Pier in high heels. Two chapter companies, Access TCA and Hill & Partners hosted student talks at ExhibitorLive in March while many other companies contributed time and resources to mentor students and provide portfolio reviews throughout the year.

Resurrected in 2014, the EDPA Northeast Chapter creates an environment of collaboration to strengthen and maintain a sustainable industry focusing on education, benefaction and succession. EDPA National awarded the EDPA Northeast Chapter with Chapter of the Year at the 2016 Access Annual Meeting.

1st Annual EDPA Northeast “The Classic” Charity Golf Tournament
On a rainy Monday morning, over 80 industry professionals joined together to participate in the first annual EDPA Northeast Chapter charity golf tournament coined “The Classic.” Despite the weather, the tournament was an overwhelming success due to the generosity of all our volunteers, participants and sponsors.
Rally at the Alley Raised $5,000 for the Family of Rob Corrona
“Rally at the Alley” held at Spiltsville, Patriot Place, it proved to be a great success! The event drew close to one hundred industry and community members who attended to honor and celebrate the life of Robert Charles Carrona, who recently passed from Pancreatic Cancer. The event raised $5,000 for Rob’s family, which will be donated to Sally, his wife of 32 years and their two children, Matt and Phoebe.

The EDPA Northeast Chapter is bringing the Rally at the Alley back to Boston. On May 5th at Splitsville, located at Patriot Place next to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, members of the exhibit industry will gather to celebrate the life of Rob Carrona, who was an admired freelance exhibit designer.
