Swinging for a Cause: Highlights from the EDPA Northeast Chapter’s Classic Golf Event

For the EDPA Northeast Chapter, The Classic is a day dedicated to networking, friendly competition, and uniting our members for a meaningful cause.

This year’s event was a tremendous success. With perfect weather and an impressive turnout of 84 golfers, along with about 15 non-golfers and banquet attendees, we achieved our highest attendance ever. We also welcomed a record 28 sponsors, making this year truly special. Held at a new venue, Cyprian Keyes in Boylston, the day began with a 1:00 shotgun start and culminated in a banquet dinner for all participants.

To enhance engagement and excitement, the Chapter Board chose to direct the event proceeds to Boston Children's Hospital.

At EDPA Northeast, we take pride in supporting Boston Children's Hospital, an essential resource for children and families in our community and beyond. Our donation will benefit the Extraordinary Needs Fund, which assists families with expenses not covered by insurance—such as temporary housing, transportation, and daily bills—allowing them to focus on their child’s healing.

Renowned for its exceptional care and innovative research, Boston Children's Hospital treats more children with rare and complex conditions than any other facility and consistently ranks among the nation’s best according to U.S. News & World Report.

Last year, we partnered with HEART 9/11, an organization founded by first responders after September 11, 2001, dedicated to disaster response and community rebuilding. This year, the Board aimed to support another impactful organization that serves its community and relies on donations. Our mission is to advocate for the growth of the events and experiential marketing industry, provide educational opportunities for our members, and give back through volunteer efforts and financial contributions.

This decision resonated deeply with our members, attracting not only our loyal sponsors and golfers but also many new faces from the events industry.

As a result of these collective efforts, the EDPA Northeast Chapter raised $5,000 for the Extraordinary Needs Fund.

While the Northeast Chapter organizes this annual golf tournament, our success is truly dependent on the unwavering support, donations, and participation of our members. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our members, annual sponsors, and event sponsors for your invaluable support.

Thank you to our 2024 Classic Event Sponsors
